The story of this route
Depending on the season, we meet on the shore of Lake Uluabat or in the city's green spaces. Uluabat is on the Ramsar list of wetlands of international importance and is known for species such as the pygmy cormorant.
We try to recognise a bird by its song, flight and behaviour as much as by its colours. We talk about why wetlands are so full of life, and I share tips for starting your own field notebook.
